BARTENDER

The Bartender prepares and responsibly serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in the bar area and through the service bar, to guests in the dining room. All beverages are prepared according to The Pearl at Aspire recipes, standards, and procedures. Provides food service to guests choosing to dine in the bar area. Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales performance objectives as determined, communicated, and monitored by management.

  • Adhere to proper procedures for seating to control the flow of guest seating. Utilizes the wait and reservation lists to maintain the front door flow.
  • Enthusiastically greet guests and assign table; politely notify guests if there is a wait.
  • Maintain a welcoming and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment.
  • Inform guests of current features and promotions, answers questions and offer menu suggestions.
  • Acknowledge guest concerns and involve a manager promptly.
  • Supports and assists team members by delivering food and beverages, pre-bussing and providing refills when possible.
  • Set-up, maintain and operate the host stand and front lobby area ensuring a clean and orderly area.
  • Answer the phone and assist with answering guests' questions in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Deliver the correct drinks and food to the guest, when needed.
  • Practice safe food handling and cleanliness standards always.
  • Ensure each guest receives a gracious farewell and solicit feedback about the quality of service.
  • Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and unoccupied tables; clean dirty tables as needed.
  • Accommodate guests' needs and requests such as refilling beverages, providing silverware, etc.
  • Clean and sweep around tables as needed.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
  • Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state, and local serving regulations.
  • Ability to process cash handling and credit card charge transactions in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to operate a computer, calculator, phone and other office equipment.
  • Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
  • Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.

This position requires regular attendance; requires the ability to stand or walk for hours at a time; frequently required to hear, speak, walk, crawl, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, stoop, lift and carry items up to 50 Ibs; requires ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature, and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

HOST

The Host is responsible for providing a friendly welcome and gracious farewell to all our guests. The Host/Hostess is responsible for seating guests and assisting the service team with ensuring that each guest leaves happy.

SERVER

The Server is responsible for always providing prompt and friendly food and beverage service to all guests following the service model. Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales performance objectives as determined, communicated, and monitored by management.

  • Maintain a welcoming and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment.
  • Learn the menu to explain offerings, make recommendations and suggestively sell to our Guests.
  • Provide each guest with a friendly welcome and gracious farewell to ensure a positive, memorable visit and promote repeat visits.
  • Greet guests according to standard and inform guests about daily/current features and promotions.
  • Ensure Guests' order is accurately recorded and input into the POS in a timely manner.
  • Deliver food to guests within and outside of your section.
  • Check back with guests, provide refills and pre-bus throughout the entire guest experience.
  • Partner with other team members to ensure all guests’ needs are met.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as well as running side work throughout shift.
  • Ensure the highest quality preparation and presentation of food and beverage items are delivered to the guest.
  • Responsible for attention and prompt response to the guests' needs and requests throughout their entire visit.
  • Present an accurate guest check, accept payment, and quickly complete the transaction.
  • Answer the phone and assist with answering guests' questions in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with the Responsible Serving Statement Policy.
  • Immediately notify management of incidents involving possible excessive alcohol consumption or an impaired condition.
  • Process guest checks and payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Report all tips in compliance with company policy and IRS regulations.
  • Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and team.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or High School equivalency preferred.
  • Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
  • A desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state and local serving regulations.
  • Ability to process cash handling and credit card in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to operate a computer, calculator, and phone.
  • Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
  • Acquire a TABC license.

SERVER ASSISTANT

The Server Assistant is responsible for making sure that tables are cleaned, set, and silverware is placed correctly. They support the serving staff to ensure all tables are set and cleared in a timely manner and assist in running food. As a key part of the service team Server Assistants ensure that each guest leaves inspired.

  • Address guest concerns and informs Manager.
  • Supports and assists team members by delivering food and beverages, pre-bussing and providing refills when possible.
  • Answer the phone and assist with answering guests' questions in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Deliver the correct drinks and food to the guest, when needed.
  • Practice safe food handling and cleanliness standards at all times.
  • Ensure each guest receives a gracious farewell and solicit feedback about the quality of service.
  • Acknowledge every guest within 5 ft of you with a smile and welcome.
  • Observe tables and keep clean.
  • Accommodate guests' needs and requests such as refilling beverages, providing silverware, etc.
  • Clean and sweep around tables as needed.
  • This position requires a positive attitude, a hospitable nature with a desire to give service at the highest level possible, and the ability to work as part of the team.
